Jazoodle was founded by Andrew Paton-Smith in 2015 as a direct result of working with a wide variety of advisers and small businesses. Andrew developed numerous manual applications to manipulate client data, to provide valuable insights into an organisation’s financial performance. It was this that drove him to develop a stand-alone application that would deliver this kind of information at the click of a button. Now businesses all around the globe are able to get a better view of what the future may hold for them, and importantly what they can do to make the most of the opportunities they face.
Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Andrew is the founder and CEO of Jazoodle and independent board member for a not-for-profit thoroughbred horse racing venue in New South Wales, Australia. Originally from the UK, Andrew emigrated to Australia in 2005 and has worked within the realms of technology and finance for large multi-national icons such as Qantas, Amadeus IT and TQ3 Navigant. Andrew launched Jazoodle with the aim of bringing an all-encompassing approach to performance analysis and improvement advice for small and medium sized businesses.
Jazoodle is the realisation of his vision to bring simple yet powerful analysis tools to a wider audience. Andrew holds a First Class Honours degree in Business Administration from Anglia Ruskin University and a Master of Business and Technology degree from the University of New South Wales, Australia. Andrew is the proud father of four children, and is the partner of an eminent Breast Cancer surgeon based in Sydney.
Chief Marketing Officer
Gareth has worked in the world of marketing for the last 20 years since graduating from Anglia Ruskin University in 1997. He learnt his trade agency-side with exposure to brands such as Citroen, Santander and Barclaycard. This culminated in him becoming a board director of TDA in 2005.
Since 2009 he has been the co-owner and director of a successful marketing consultancy on the outskirts of Gloucester in the United Kingdom, working with brands like Nationwide, Lloyds Bank and Aviva. His experience spans brand and strategic planning through to design and project management. He lives near Gloucester in the United Kingdom with his wife and two children.
Chief Technical Officer
Andy graduated with a first class business degree in 1991 from the University of Bath and got involved in the web industry when there were only 25,000 websites globally. He has gained significant strategic business and marketing experience with companies such as Ford, Nissan and Tesco and is also a very accomplished technical developer.
He was one of three lead web architects working on Vodafone’s UK online store, one of the most visited websites in the country. He has also owned and managed successful website and app development companies since 1997., working directly with start-ups, SMEs, large corporates and the British Government. He lives in the West of England and is married with two daughters.
Chief Operations Officer
Simon’s background is in the Travel-Technology sector. At the end of 2015, after many years in various senior roles at Dolphin Dynamics (a world leader in the provision of technology solutions to the travel industry), and before that at STA Travel (the worldwide student travel specialist), Simon launched his own consultancy – ConSerTix – as a platform to use his unique and wide-ranging travel industry experience, knowledge and skills to help corporate travel companies ‘do things better’.
Simon has worked closely with Andrew Paton-Smith in Australia and the UK since 2010 and has been privileged to see Jazoodle grow from a ‘Eureka’ light bulb moment to the organisation it is today.
When not busy with Jazoodle or ConSerTix, Simon can be found building and maintaining relationships/partnerships in the Travel & FinTech space.
Trevor is a company director and management consultant with experience in Australia and UK, as well as the 12 years he spent working in Asia. A qualified Accountant and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Trevor also holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Company Directors Diploma and is a Certified Practicing Accountant.
He has worked with Government Departments and private organizations including Amadeus IT across the Asia Pacific region. Specialising in areas of business management, strategy, governance, budgeting and analysis. Trevor has also established and grown a number of businesses, from travel companies to quick service restaurant chains.
Trevor is the Chairman of Jazoodle along with managing his other two two businesses and lives with his partner in Sydney.
The leadership team are able to draw upon a vast array of expertise and experience from the worlds of IT, finance, operations, sales and marketing. They have also owned and managed other successful businesses which has given them a deep-rooted appreciation of the need to always keep abreast of what customers really need. The team’s vision is to continually improve the functionality of Jazoodle so that it always meets the requirements of all its users, in turn helping them to improve their own financial and business performance.
